Finger fresh from the wound

My toe under the knife

Let's move away from my finger for a minute. Here's my toe. The toe nail was lifted and a tiny bit of flesh cut off to pad up my finger to form the nailbed. Gross camera shot, but this didn't hurt really. I had enough painkillers in my foot to numb a cow!

One good thing this whole thing did for was to change my mind about injections. I used to hate them, fear them. But suddenly, jabs became a means to mask the pain, and I was asking for them all the time. Even when my stitches were being taken out. In the end I was talked out of having a jab for my stitch removal session. And no, it didn't hurt - I was just being a chicken.

I'm a person with a pain threshold of zero. I'm improving though.
